Brother Can You Spare a Dime?

This was the title of a popular song during the Great Depression.  Students on Team 7 Green will soon be learning about that the Great Depression was a very hard time for people in America, including children.  Unfortunately, times today are almost as rough for many families as they struggle through tough economic times.  

In the spirit of giving during this season, Team 7 Green has decided to help make the holidays a little brighter for a local family.  Listed below is information about a family that our team has decided to “adopt”.  If you can help in any way, we would greatly appreciate it.  

Please send items listed below to school by Monday, December 12.  Donations can be new or “gently used”.  They can be wrapped or unwrapped.  If wrapped, please indicate to which member of the family they are intended. Monetary donations will also be accepted (gift cards, cash or checks made out to Sperreng Middle School).   Please direct all donations to Mrs. Makos #120.                                   

1.  Family Wish List-- a microwave; gift cards to Walmart or Shop N Save; gas gift cards

2.  Boy #1-- (Age 16) Shirt size: Men’s Medium ; Shoe size: 11 1/2; Pajama Size: Men’s Medium;

Wish List: Gift card to Game Stop or Walmart to pick out a video game.

3.  Girl #1–   (Age 14)  Shirt size: Women’s Medium or Large; Shoe size: 8 ½ Women’s; Pajama Size: Women’s Medium or Large. Wish List: really wants a pair of Jordan 13 tennis shoes in white; also likes earrings and nail polish.

***The family could probably use some family games.
