   Brother Can You Spare a Dime?

This was the title of a popular song during the Great Depression.  Students on Team 7 Green will soon be learning about that the Great Depression was a very hard time for people in America, including children.  Unfortunately, times today are almost as rough for many families as they struggle through tough economic times.  

In the spirit of giving during this season, Team 7 Green has decided to help make the holidays a little brighter for a local family.  Listed below is information about a family that our team has decided to “adopt”.  If you can help in any way, we would greatly appreciate it.  

Please send items listed below to school by Monday, December 14.  Donations can be new or “gently used”.  They can be wrapped or unwrapped.  If wrapped, please indicate to which member of the family they are intended. Monetary donations will also be accepted (cash or checks made out to Sperreng Middle School).   Please direct all donations to Mrs. Makos.                                   

1.  Adult Male-- king bed sheets, bath towels, gift cards to Aldi’s, Walmart, or Circle K (gas)

2.  Girl #1-- (Age 12) Shirt size: Adult 16 or 1 XL ; Shoe size: 10; Pajama Size: 16 or 1 XL

Wish List: needs all types of clothes - socks, hoodies, sweaters, leggings, and/or pants.  She wears size 16 pants.  She could use tennis shoes or boots, as well as long sleeve shirts.  She likes to listen to music and would like an iTunes card or a craft kit.  She enjoys making various craft projects.  She also likes to read and would appreciate a Barnes and Noble gift card.

3.  Girl #2 –   (Age 15) Pants size 3 XL, Shirt size 3 XL, Shoe size 12-13, Wish List: really could use a coat or heavy jacket ( Size 3 XL).  She also likes leggings, long sleeve shirts, and hoodies.  She often has a hard time finding clothes and likes to shop at Lane Bryant or Torrid.  She likes to read and would appreciate a gift card to Barnes and Noble or an iTunes gift card.

***The family could probably use some family games.
